Our Sweet Story

Sweet Expressions began with a single cookie — and a very special moment.

When I was pregnant with my second child, I bought an adorable “Big Sister” cookie for my daughter as a gift from her new baby brother at the hospital. She absolutely loved it, and I loved how something so small could make a moment feel so special.

Right then and there, I decided I wanted to learn how to make them myself.

What began as a creative hobby quickly grew into something more. I started making cookies for teachers, friends and family, and before long I kept hearing the same thing: “You should sell these!”

Sweet Expressions RVA was born in Richmond, Virginia, and I spent several years creating decorated cookies, cakes and cupcakes that helped families celebrate life’s most cherished moments. After moving to Atlanta, I was thrilled to relaunch Sweet Expressions in 2026 and begin this next chapter.

And now, 13 years later, in a full-circle moment I never imagined, that little girl who inspired it all is part of the Sweet Expressions story herself. Seeing her discover the same joy in creating thoughtful treats and sharing memorable moments with others has been one of the sweetest surprises of all.

Today, Sweet Expressions is still built around the same idea that inspired it from the very beginning: beautiful treats can do more than satisfy a sweet tooth — they can celebrate, connect, encourage and help make the moments we remember even sweeter.
